Senior Center Advisory Council elects members

The Highland County Senior Center Membership Advisory Council has elected members for the coming year.

The 2009 Membership Advisory Council is: Bill Bowman, William Covert, Charles Caldwell, Sue Douglas, Sharon Fenner, Donna Jean Haynes, Howard Jenkins, Mary Reed, Richard Roberts, Andrea Schneider and Nancy Sonner. 

The Highland County Senior Citizens Center is a non-profit organization established in 1970.  It is supported solely by membership dues, fund raising activities and private donations, and receives no funding from any government entity. Dues are $20.00 per year.  Services are rendered on a nondiscriminatory basis. The Center is handicap accessible in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

The Center’s mission is to provide persons age 50 and over with opportunities and activities designed to help them remain active and involved in the community.  The Center will advocate for the needs, issues and concerns of older adults and represent their interests in the community, the state and the nation.
